Amazon.com Inc is planning to bid for the TV rights to Italy’s top-flight soccer league, Serie A, Bloomberg Information reported on Wednesday, citing folks accustomed to the matter.

REUTERS: Amazon.com Inc is planning to bid for the TV rights to Italy’s top-flight soccer league, Serie A, Bloomberg Information reported on Wednesday, citing folks accustomed to the matter.

The net retail big plans to bid for streaming rights for its Prime Video service, the report mentioned. (https://bloom.bg/3nKZ9lv)

The league set a Jan. 26 deadline to promote rights to the subsequent three seasons, searching for at the least 1.15 billion euros (US$1.40 billion) apiece, the report added.

Amazon and Serie A didn’t instantly reply to a Reuters request for remark.
