A new ranking which was released earlier this week showed how easy it is to afford the latest tech in Dubai.

According to statistics released by The Spectator Index on Twitter, you only need to work 13.4 days in the emirate to be able to afford an iPhone X. The ranking dubbed – “Average working days needed to purchase an iPhone X” measures how many days an individual must work in a specified city to be able to afford the Apple device. Dubai came up 9th in a list of 14 countries.

Topping the list is Zurich where professionals only need 4.7 days to afford the device. Rounding up the top three are New York (6.7 days) and Toronto (7.9 days). At the bottom of the list is Cairo, where you need a staggering 133.3 days to afford an iPhone X! This is followed by Mumbai (114.7 days) and Kyiv (88.5 days).

Dubai’s ranking is reflective of the salary packages it offers to potential workers. This 2019 salary guide shows how much professionals in the UAE should be paid this year. On top of that, data revealed by Bayt.com earlier this year said that more than 50 per cent of working professionals across the UAE have said that they are expecting to receive a raise in 2019.
