Shekhar Gawli, Former Maharashtra Ranji Cricketer, Dies

Former Maharashtra Ranji participant Shekhar Gawli died after falling in a 250-feet-deep gorge in Maharashtra’s Nashik district, police stated on Wednesday. Gawli, 45, who performed two top quality matches for Maharashtra, went for trekking within the Western Ghat mountains of Igatpuri hill station in Nashik together with a few of his pals on Tuesday night.  He fell into the gorge after allegedly dropping his stability, the police stated. 

“His physique was discovered at round 10 am on Wednesday. The physique might be handed over to the members of the family after postmortem,” an official from Igatpuri police station informed PTI. 

Gawli was earlier the assistant coach of the Maharashtra cricket workforce and was at the moment the health coach of the U23 workforce. He was a proper hand batsman and a leg-spinner.
