Srikanth on Wednesday had sailed into the second round of the Thailand Open after a snug win over compatriot Sourabh Verma.
Sourabh didn’t cross the opening hurdle, shedding to Kidambi 21-12, 21-11 in two consecutive units.
Kidambi, who on Tuesday shared photos of his bleeding nostril, following the ”unacceptable” remedy being meted out to him whereas conducting coronavirus exams, sealed a straightforward win in a match that lasted simply 31 minutes.
